There's a Love Song in Me

There's a love song in me
Like a summer and spring
It allows me further to see
Than my heart could ever sing

It's of colors red and blue
And of feelings we do give
It is like what you can do
And with what you will live

The words you speak here
Like the clouds that drift by
The loving touch and care
That reaches into the sky

All colors blind within
You had not noticed before
That flows thick and thin
And opens closed doors

And we who still are there
With hands full of earth
We accomplish and share
From the day of our birth

There's a love song in thee
Growing from seeds you sow
It maybe come a tree
But hearts will only know

II

There's a poem lying deep
Which I can never hear
But I can with it weep
While I still have a tear

Like a love song it is sung
With voice softly but clear
It carries feelings on
To you from far and near

All the words now written
Can never do the same
For in each love lies hidden
A burning eternal flame

More vast than oceans under
or world which man has seen
The flame of all from yonder
Where travel has never been

It's of colors red and blue
A love song so deep and vast
It is what is in you true
In futures as in all past

Every feeling that's within
The spiritual life you seek
It's like the nearest of kin
And from your soul will speak
