Give Me Your Love
by Peter S. Quinn - May 23, 1999
Give me your love, with your true and full passion,
lasting through altercation that came along;
For all thoughts of love should be flaming strong,
Not like, strike a match, soon burning to ashen.
Dreaming isn't laughable nor out of fashion,
Or mumbo jumbo words: another throng;
It's catching all our feelings: the true prong,
Giving us, - in affective ways, its ration.
Why should I not give my dreams and my hope,
To those who could care for others no less?
For love's too, the tears drying on ones face.
Yes it can be like a hill or a slope,
Not always what comes too easy or fresh;
It's in each, a wonderful starting maze.
