Beauty
by Peter S. Quinn - May 10, 1999
Now, the sun is shining, on summer' leaves,
That in a garden grows, in beautiful design;
That term of beauty, one must again redefine,
Such is its design, all sorrows it relieves.
The garden of structure, around, it weaves
Climax of blossoms, inside it intertwine,
As was with Eden and never should decline,
For beauty gives wishes, with stronger believes.
Everything grows old, until it falls again,
Even beauty of fair women with soft skin,
Their eyes shall become smaller, and lips drier.
Why this is all so, I can not well explain,
As now more beauty starts to grow from within,
Redesigning, lost of beauty none desire.
