Nature comes again green
by Peter S. Quinn - 1999
Nature comes again green into the field
With more adornment then perhaps last year,
As now the first of blooming buds are near
And springtime will to us all once more yield.
From the earth, winters white frost is now peeled,
For garden colours and a fine rosewear
And everything that summertide holds dear:
That in the soil lay dormant and concealed.
We are once more blessed with a summer growth
That comes with freshness of the green and growing,
Which are in summer moments such as these:
Equally wishing for a peace and troth
That comes from everything that's undergoing,
A regenerating fresh summer breeze.
