August White Flower

August white flower,
Waiting for the next shower,
In its green bower.

Bloom of summer day,
For only few months will stay,
Resurgent in May!

What is the purpose,
To be like a perfect rose,
Gift for sad and woe.

Blooming fair and mild,
Pure like an innocent child,
None have you beguiled.

Summer's little bloom,
In a garden, in a room,
With sweetest perfume!

White as a fairy,
Exotic, lustful and airy,
Pretty? yes very.
